I recently completed a quick and easy bathroom remodeling project. I can’t overstate how glad I am that we stopped procrastinating and took action. You can read all about the whole project here: From Ugly to Awesome in No Time Flat
But this little post and video has one much more focused purpose: I want you to know that you can texture your own drywall and get professional results.
The Homax® Pro-Grade™ texture cans, which are readily available at home centers such as Home Depot or Lowes, are easy to use, get great results, and cover a much larger area than the little patch texture cans you may have seen before. A few cans of Homax® Pro-Grade™ is enough to do an entire room.
It’s easy, inexpensive, and the results are great. See the video above for a quick demonstration.
Tip: Use a scrap of drywall or cardboard as a test to make sure you’ve adjusted the spray pattern and pressure to your liking and that you’ve got the “motion” down. Any spray texture requires constant motion. If you stop moving while the trigger is pulled you’ll have a mess on your hands! But watch the video. I have never used this product before and I had about one minute of practice on a scrap before I shot the video. I found it very easy.
Let’s talk about your project in the comments below!
