I pretty much only post about remodeling and construction here on RemodelingGuy.net, but there’s more to me than that! So I figured I’d share this cool video of a recent ride I took part in with my oldest son AJ, who blogs about graphic design at DesignBent.com
The video shows quite a few riders, but I’m not too hard to find. I’m the guy with the big mustache on my headlight and one of the few fools with no helmet on. Maybe I should take a hint.

Thanks to the guys at makemotion.tv and createwithmomentum.com for putting this together. Check out the Vimeo page for more info.
If you’ve never heard of it, the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is an annual motorcycle rally that happens in dozens (hundreds?) of cities worldwide to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer. One of the things that set the ride apart is that most of the guys get pretty dressed up! (I didn’t so much… total loser)
I hope I never get too up close and personal with Prostate Cancer, but I’m good friends with someone who lives with it. In fact he just had the 20th anniversary of his diagnosis, which I guess is a really good thing! He blogs about the medical advances in Prostate Cancer, as well as his views on how his Faith has helped him through, at his blog GodandProstate.net by Dr. BJ Gabrielsen.
My son AJ, was left out of the video for the most part. I’m not sure why, for he is far better looking than me. But maybe he was on the wrong kind of bike… (he has an awesome Royal Enfield Bullet) That’s him with the big hairy face below (the bigger, hairier face to the right) :
Speaking of bikes, with Christmas approaching, if you’re looking for something for yourself or that special someone… I could not recommend anything more highly than the Triumph Bonneville.
Oh my my… that’s fun!
