When you live in a little house, outdoor living takes on a whole new meaning, so it’s always good news when the spring weather rolls around and the outdoor fun really begins.
But, as with most good things, a little bit of work is usually the first step. A little bit of outdoor spring cleaning makes everything fresh and ready to go.
The first thing you see when you walk up to our little cottage is the wood front porch, which we recently painted white in somewhat of an experiment trying to decide what to do with the larger back deck. We like the white so far. It feels bright and makes the flowers really pop! But it does get dirty pretty quickly. See the photos below:
Scotts®Plus OxiClean™ Outdoor Cleaner to The Rescue
As it turns out, if you have the right stuff on hand, cleaning up this mess and making the white deck look like new is easy-peasy!
The ScottsPlus OxiClean Outdoor Cleaner lifts dirt and grime from the surface and has a very effective foaming action making for quick and light scrubbing with a floor scrub brush.
Just hook it to the hose, spray it on, let it sit and work a minute or two, scrub a little, and rinse away for beautiful results.
Safe for Plants and Grass
Unlike harsher products, this cleaner is safe for the surrounding plants and grass, which was very important in our case because there’s really no way we could have covered the adjacent flowerbed or the grass out front. No worries with the ScottsPlus OxiClean!
Overall, this project took only a few minutes and the results were flawless. The easy hose-connecting spray container worked great but the same product is also available in a concentrate for larger projects or to use with a pressure washer siphon hose.
