There are things I enjoy; there are people I love; there are activities I’m good at. Then, there is the one thing that brings all good things together into a hot mess of pure joy… that one thing is Grilling.
I L-O-V-E to grill. I used to only just Love to grill (not all caps, no emphasis on each individual letter… big difference). But that all changed recently when I got my Big Red Egg. It’s a whole new world.
And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, it did. Thanks to Spectracide sending me a bunch of awesome and Ready to Use Weed and Grass Killer I went out looking for areas that needed a little weed-killing and related TLC. That’s how the whole Grill Area Refresh Project got started. See the original murderous weed ending post here.
My Grill Area Was A Mess
I started off a few weeks ago by killing all the overgrown weeds dead.
That worked out fine… the weeds were plenty dead, but I still had a mess on my hands…
So today was the day to wrap it all up and finish the area. But I was lost. I needed some help because I knew I had a mess on my hands but I didn’t know what to do about it. I was powerless against my junk. It really was a mini-episode of Hoarders. There was even some drama when Mrs. “I like things pretty” Layton told me I had to find a new home for the windsurfer, which I agree has seen better days.
I listened to her advice and, as you can see, I was happy I did… she actually got me to voluntarily stop for a picture, a sign I’m in a really happy place!
So I’ll let the pictures tell the tale and I’ll be back soon to talk in great depth about the wonders of my new grill.
