I was reading my favorite remodeling blog this morning and noticed a Home Depot ad at the top of the screen. Maybe all I need to say is that the ad was so compelling I took a screenshot:
I could leave it at that, I suppose. But that would be far too few words for someone as talky talky talky as me.
Instead, I’ll tell you that this might possibly be the best purchase in all of DIYland! I’ve had the Ryobi 18V Lithium Ion tools since they first came out (at least 7 years or so now) and I’m telling you that these are an outstanding value in cordless tools. The batteries are powerful, long lasting, and quick charging. And they’ve recently gotten smaller and lighter, which is nice.
A replacement battery (they do wear out eventually under heavy use, which mine certainly get from time to time) costs about $60.00 so it would make more sense to buy this even if just for another battery! $79.00 for an 18V high-quality cordless drill with a battery and a charger is absolutely a great deal.
Looking for a gift or your next power tool. Look no further.

Disclosure: The Home Depot advertises on RemodelingGuy.net (and the rest of the Internet) from time-to-time and I’ve done a promotion or two with them in the past, but this particular post is not sponsored. This really is my number one “most-used” tool and at $79 you can’t go wrong, so I thought I’d share it.
hey rguy! About 5 years ago my husband started purchasing most cordless tools in this line. My husband saw the incredible sales on ryobi and thought “oh no! are they fading the line out?” What inside word can you give?
