I was over at Beach Vintage where Simone had this photo posted among a few other awesome tropical spaces.
I would have done a double-take on this one even if we weren’t about to get seriously involved in talking about paneling.
I know it doesn’t work everywhere, but if you have the place for it, this look is unreal! If that isn’t actually old, it’s one of the best jobs of faking it I’ve ever seen!
Places like this make me wish I owned instead of rented. LOVE.IT.
I have a question for you. I’m thinking of making a coffee table out of skis – but don’t have unlimited skiis, so it’s sparse. What would you suggest for the top (in between skiis) & legs? Any ideas? Thankssomuch for any help you may offer!
Hi Tug,
Are we talking snow skis or water skis? Snow skis, maybe you could use ski poles in the design. A few broken ski poles cut to length and tied together would make a sturdy leg. Is the top between the skis or above it? If above, you would just use glass I guess. if between, a sheet of plywood, a trail map on top of that, and glass above the trail map?
I had no idea you were back to blogging, Tim! So nice to see you back in the blogosphere.
I want to see that ski-coffee table when he gets it done! ๐
Oh, wonderful ideas! They’re snow skiis, and I love the pole & trail map ideas. THANK YOU.
Sorry, I missed your comment Julia – I’ll post a comment here or figure something out when I get it done; it’ll be a little while probably.
