Senco PC0947/FP18KIT 18-Gauge Brad Nailer Compressor Combo Kit
I own this exact air compressor and brad nailer. I bought it as a kit too, but paid a good bit more!
Amazon.com has these on sale for a great price and it ships right to you.
I often buy tools on Amazon because of the great pricing, and the really great service. No problems with returns, quick shipping, etc.
$146.72 is all this will cost!
Why Do I Need A Brad Nailer?
I own a whole big giant plastic container full of nail guns, at least one of every type. The only one(s) that live outside that container, usually on my work-bench or in the house next to whatever I’m working on is the brad nailer. I use them very frequently.
For example, say you’re following the series on interior wood paneling and you decide you want to install some beadboard, or some board-and-batten. This is one of the key tools. For any trimwork or detail jobs, this is the tool. It shoots nails down to 1/2″ and up to about 2″ in length. But it leaves a tiny hole.
My 12 year old son made a table with some scraps and my brad nailer in about twenty minutes yesterday!
Why This One?
The nail gun itself isn’t anything out of the ordinary. Brad nailers are all very similar, though Senco is great quality. But the real advantage to this is the air compressor!
- You can carry it in one hand by the built-in handle… it’s not heavy at all.
- It fits on a shelf, or even in a plastic bin. It takes up about as much space as a five-gallon bucket.
- It has little rubber feet so you can set it on any surface to run it… hardwood floors, whatever.
- It is very quiet.
Only downside is that this is a small compressor, meaning you can’t run just any air tool with it. It’s made to be a team with the brad nailer.
Get One, You’ll Love it!
If you buy one, please buy it from Amazon.com because I’m an affiliate… meaning when you click through from my blog to Amazon and buy something, I get a small commission. It added up to a whopping $6.00 last month, but maybe that’s because I forgot to point out great deals like this one. Thanks!

PS – Even if you want to buy a book, or a pair of socks, I really appreciate you clicking through from Remodeling Guy! You must need something! 🙂
My husband loves his brad nailer, but I have been informed that Spring will be arriving soon and that a lot of projects will require a bigger compressor. Hhmmm…
P.S. I know that I don’t comment here enough, but I wanted to tell you that I really do enjoy your posts and that I share many of them with my husband.
Thanks for what you do, and keep at it!!
Hi Tricia! I really appreciate your comments and your encouragement! Just like the rest of you, I loooooovvvee comments!
Your comment brought up a big major deal… I didn’t think about this when I wrote the post… the thing your husband is referring to about needing a larger compressor might be because he wants to run more than one air tool at a time. I used to use a larger compressor and three or four tools.
That’s what I love about this combo set… it really is like one tool. You just get a bonus air compressor for filling up rafts, tires, and it will run your other air nailers.
But the point I’m not really making very clearly is that it may very well be that an additional compressor might eliminate the need for a larger compresser, and large compressors are usually $400 or more.
You might want to ask him what he needs… Fathers Day around the corner… or even Valentines Day… forget the chocolates, get me an air nailer!
Totally bought my husband this set in 2005 from Menards–love, love, LOVE this set. Best tool we have EVER purchased. The gun AND the compressor are real workhorses. Then again, Senco has never the type to bring forth anything less than quality!
This pair has never failed us and has been our right hand tool for many, many jobs in “this old house”!! From trim to furniture building and subfloor to crafty what-nots… it’s all we need!!
Hi Tim, I was in the market for a lightweight nailer and this fits the bill. Good review and I am definitely going to get this one. Hope to get good longitivtiy on this. Best of all, it’s good value for money.
A perfect tool for any home owner who doesn’t try to use it for heavy construction. Senco tools have always been in my tool box. A good finish nailer costs as much as this entire package!
Senco air compressors are the best quality of the air compressor market. Not only this But also From a long time ago the Senco is being a Brand Name. Many users of air compressor buy an air compressor to see the brand name of Senco.
